I like the tin top because without all the Westy gear it is more versatile as a utility vehicle in every day life:  hauling 4 x 8 sheets of plywood etc. and lots of stuff  when needed. When we camp we use a Coleman stove and coolers for food. My van came with curtains from the prior owner, with permanently installed curtain rods.  With the lights out at night, privacy hasn't been an issue.  I guess if you use a  porta-potty in the van instead of the campground facilities, then daytime privacy would  be an issue. For the windows in buggy, hot weather, I cut nylon screens and hold them in place with strip  magnets. I think if you camp a lot in the wilderness then owning a Westy has its advantages.  The gas powered fridge comes immediately to mind.  So after I'm retired and can afford a dedicated camp mobile, then we may get a Westy. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for privacy, screens, and general experiences they can share. I have 2 sons I want to take camping... All I have is the fold down bed in the back. I know there was a child's cot as we'll. we had one in our 72 westy camper growing up. Thanks in advance!!! Dave Sent from my iPhone
