I've done it. Cut the hose from the tank with a knife, slitting it along the length of the nipple from the tank. Yank it off. Immediately plug on the new hose with a pair of craftsman hose clamps (you own a vanagon and DO have at least a set of those, don't you?) somewhere along the line. Then run the hose from the pump to wherever you are going at your leisure. Remove hose clamp pliers and start your car. You may lose two tablespoons of fuel. Jim
