Hello all, I received permission from the Mods (thanks Ben T and David) to post this inquiry as I'm in a pickle and need to get this car running sooner rather than later as my Vanagon needs a transmission and is sitting idle until I can scratch up the funds to get it repaired. Here is my issue: Hello all, I have a 1990 Jetta GL with a N/A 1.6. I just completed a clutch job. Upon first attempt to start after the clutch job resulted in a no start and odd electrical issues. Here's a video outlining my issue.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM-f-_g_ ... e=youtu.be<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM-f-_g_OPM&feature=youtu.be> Additional info not noted in the youtube vid: The "seatbelt needing to be plugged in to start" has been bypassed for a few years with no issues... I cleaned all the connectors that mate with the battery with a wire dremel/wire wheel ... I'm reviewing wiring diagrams in the Bentley... Any input would be appreciated...
