Hi all.

Got a ToughBook CF-29, installed VCDS (formerly VAG-COM). That stuff works fine and is very cool. Am running XP SP3

Issue: downloading larger files. i.e. installing Firefox and Chrome. The installer file downloads ok but after opening that, the larger programme file only downloads to 99% then stalls or repeats attempts at downloading.

Malwarebytes software is disabled. Can't find any other antivirus software. I googled a fair amount. Have tried in no particular order:

assigning download to a new user Changing IDE channels from DMA to PIO system restore toggled on/off various settings in two different browsers (IE8 and Firefox, latest version for XP SP3) cleared temp files from cache in browsers. Increased cache allowed Data Execution Prevention to ignore Firefox

Feel free to pmail off list. Much TIA,

Neil - Inexperienced Windows User. ;)
