During my time in Atlanta in the late sixties--what I remember of it anyway--several of the paint shops there were flocking whole cars.

Is nobody doing that anymore?

Thanks,

Jim, who has restrained himself from using about 25 puns with the word flock while writing this.

I know of two vanagon owners that have done this and the result is pretty nice. I did something similar on my pop top. I didn't use hull liner fabric but rather some inexpensive carpet. It was very thin carpet, pretty close to hull liner thickness but it did not have the 2 way stretch that the hull liner stuff has. The lack of stretch did come back to bite me during the install - I didn't manage to get it on completely wrinkle free. > > I have some pics of my attempt here: > > http://shufti.wordpress.com/2013/07/01/vanagon-pop-top-canvas-swap/ > > Alistair > > > >> On Oct 12, 2013, at 2:44 PM, WILLIAM WITZ <pbwitz@SBCGLOBAL.NET> wrote: >> >> Hi all, does anyone have any advice on dyeing or painting the in side of the poptop?
