RE:Walmart Batteries I guess I have to chime in on this one. Seven years ago (plus a month) as two of us were headed into Glacier National Park my engine battery quit, going dead, wouldn't charge. Camped for the night at Glacier then drove back into Claispel Mt. and found the Walmart. Their staff came out to my '90 Westy, scanned the bar code in the door jamb to get the info on the vehicle, said they had the right size Group 41 (I knew they did, we had already checked the stock on the shelf) and another rather inept but hard working young man came out to install it. With the help of myself and my traveling companion he got the new battery in and we went back to Glacier. Like I said, that was seven years ago and that same battery is still doing it's job just fine. Two years later I needed a battery for my daily driver, my '90 T-Bird LX. So went to the local Walmart for the purchase and install. Two battery sizes speced for the T-Bird, one heavy duty (what I wanted) and one smaller, what was in there. Tech said "This won't fit" and I told him it would. And it did. That battery has been in there for five years now and behaves very very well. Example: The T-Bird had not been driven in over a month. But yesterday it fired up just fine when I went to run some errands. So, as of now I've been very happy with the service and the batteries from Walmart. YMMV :)
