Fun Bus will turn 263K shortly. Still even has the original head gaskets. Just keep driving it. I would consider improved oil cooling for those long trips. Mine spends most of its time at 180-190. High speed loads over time will bring it up to 210. Extreme conditions can get it higher.

Just ran another non-stop 1200 mile trip to SWFL in my young 91 tin top 2.1 wbx. This trip it will turn 270k miles. I know I should open it up and do the main and rod bearings but it is just soooooo smooth. The oil pressure is good even when the oil climbs to 235 degrees in the 90 degree temps down here. The lube oil analysis reports are always good. I hate to mess with something that is operating so flawlessly.
