Over the last 40 or so years I bought every fuel saving device ever sold on late night TV or in Popular Mechanics. You know, the fuel line magnets or my plastic fuel line. The marbles for the fuel tank, the vortex generators for the intake plenum, etc. Add up all the fuel savings, now I'm making fuel and selling it back to the oil companies.

Actually, I did have to stop for gas, a squirt, and a cat nap. Fuel burn was as high as 15.5 mpg on the 70 mph 90 degree legs, and as low as 20 mpg on the 50-60 mph 55-60 degree leg of the trip. Wind was not a factor this time.

Especially don't mess with a 2.1 that will take you 1200mi without stopping for gas ~ {:~))
