ref: "Also if my boots arent torn should I reuse them?"   All torn CV boots should be replaced.  The leading cause of premature CV bearing failure is a torn boot.  A torn boot will permit the ingress of water and dirt into the CV bearing.  This water and dirt will result in the bearing rusting and premature failure.  The CV boots should be inspected regularly, and after any off road driving to see if there are any tears.  Often, if you catch a torn CV boot, you can just take the CV axle off, inspect, clean (remove old grease), regrease and re-install the CV axle with a new CV boot.    http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=3745&category_id=&category_parent_id=   Cheers! I finally removed one side to replace the cv joints and noticed a difference between the old and the new lobro ones. The new ones seem to have a small shoulder on one side and the old ones do not, and the old ones seem not to have the cone shaped washer provided in the new kits? Also if my boots arent torn should I reuse them? Thanks as always -- Velma 1982 1.9L AAZ turbo diesel Westy
