What I recommend is get new Lobro CV joints, a dozen 12 point CV joint screws .. and if the boots are good ...keep those in service.

if you do buy an entire ready-to-go axle...( not recommeneded ) and they're cheap ..for less than two new Lobro CV's .. it will likely be from you-know-where.. and keep in mind the left one is shorter.. and the right one is longer, so be sure to get the right one.

it's very tempting to go this cheap and easy route. I had one auto trans Vanagon show up at my shop making a most desperate clanking sound from a rear CV ... it was one of those elcheapo axles ... the CV joint was nearly destroyed...and it sure seemed like the axle was too short or something like that, and it wasn't that old at all.
