Paying the fees is important since this campground and the toll
booth the the area are operated by American Land & Leisure. They
want to make $$$$ and the Forest Service wants them to (too) so they
will continue to operate the area.
I'm sure as other older campgrounds are renovated they will move in
this direction.
Isn't that just great? Maybe we should outsource our forest service
and public lands to the Chinese or the highest bidder, they are probably
way more efficient than any 'murikan company at making more
money.......after all..."we" have to make money don't "we"? The more the
better? Heck, just sell off all the public land...it just costs us all
money, right?
Personally, I think that is one of the most important things our
government does....keep some decent relatively unspoiled lands for us all
to use without some "Private Property" sign or "Fee Use Area" signs...
What's this have to do with Vanagons? Vanagons will still be able,
maybe, to steath camp in urban alleys when everything else is privatized
and too expensive for all but the one percent......
Sorry, too political...any replies please come at me via PMail..
