Hmm, I've not found a collector car insurance company in the US that will do a policy on a camper at all. Who are you applying with? Qualifying is usually based on the vehicle age, it must be stored in a garage and driven limited miles each year to qualify. A radio upgrade shouldn't make any difference, at least it didn't with Hagerty on my MGBs.
