Yes, but it can take some work. On many of the 84-86 Westies the tracks are already in the floor, just covered by some rather obvious metal covers. If you have these, just look at the floor and you will know. If you don't then you are going to have to cut two grooves in the floor, buy a seat with seat tracks and the hardware, and do some work to get this installed. I would recommend getting a seat from an 86-88 GL Vanagon since they have the seat backs that flip forward and also don't have the driver's side shoulder belt built into the wall of the van (lap belt is bolted to seat base). Just did this on an 89 Syncro Westy for a customer. There are some pictures on my facebook page. Just look under Van-Again and scroll down and you can see them.
