Subject: Two Kayaks That Don't Need Roof Racks For Your Vanagon/Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I have been entrusted by the widow of a canoe store owner in Chicago to liquidate a couple of folding Klepper kayaks that are about 10 years old but never seen the water. For those of you unfamiliar with these boats, they are incredibly expensive at the retail level. If you dislike loading and unloading boats from the roof of your Vanagon tin top, or don't want the extra weight or clutter on top of yourWesty roof(and loss of MPG), one or both of these boats may fit into you needs. Plenty of info on both boats on the web. One is a Klepper Aerius 1 which is still in the original shipping box from Germany and the other one is an Alu-lite with an aluminum frame instead of wood, making it about 10-15# lighter. The Alulite comes with a backpack to stuff it all in and a new Hammer wood take a part paddle. Not sure if the Aerius has the pack with it or not, since the box has yet to be unloaded. I probably have a paddle that wold work for the Aerius out of what I have here at the house. Seach CL's Waterloo IA site in boats FS for the alulite for picteures and more info. I'll post the Aerius later in the week. you can pmail me if you have other questions or interest in either or both. Either boat

The widow just wants to move these things, so she can move to Florida and be with family. Thanks
