Well, I think I made the first "fleece thermal barrier" a few years
back.  Version two:

Such a slight layer makes a HUGE difference in the effectiveness of
the Propex.  I wouldn't think of NOT using it if I thought I'd kick
on the Propex in the morning.  I sleep in a warm bag and only turn
on the furnace a while before getting up in the morning.

Of course I don't use the fleece barrier if I have grandsons sleeping
upstairs....  ;-)

And just believe Karl's numbers on Propex propane use.  I wondered
last year if my tank would ever empty running the Propex and the
stove.  Feeling how little heat comes out the Propex exhaust indicates
how efficient it is.
