        Don’t know where your “Looking” but the Propex heaters are extremely economical on Propane use.  91 hours on 11 litres or the contents of your Westy’s tank, of Propane if it’s running non stop, which it will never do unless your in the Arctic and have a huge heat loss.  You certainly need to use the insulation blanket for the pop-top that Jonce makes in those circumstances.  So……just for example I’ve had my Propex installed now in my Westy for over 10 years now so I sure can tell you from experience that I do not need to fill the dedicated Propane tank every few days.  Usually once a month in severe cold conditions where it’s running off and on every day.  AND, when we’re camped we DO NOT stay in the camper all day so the Propex is either turned off or put on a very low temp setting while we’re out and about, we did not go camping to stay inside the van for days on end.  Yes, if it’s been pouring rain and snow we stayed in on occasion but if those conditions persisted we got outta there and went HOME !  AND, on the cost of Propane, it all depends on where you are, Propane is all over the map, in Mexico it’s almost free, in some US states it’s like Gold so what, checked the price of gas lately, just got a message from Maggie that in Tulsa it now $2.79/gal.  Here in Carlton Place, next town up the line from Almonte, it’s down to $1.09/litre, with line ups around the block !  Live with it or get a bicycle and a tent !
