/Hi, I'd /be glad to offer a few thoughts or things to try ... but first .. please say if you mean it cranks on the starter just fine, and it takes 6 to 7 attempts to fire up and run, or it takes 6 or 7 tries to get the starter to crank. I have had to ask people this question, when they say 'it won't start,' for some 30 years, professionally. About 200 time at least. 'won't start' is not enough information really. I have had a gear reduction starter be difficult about cranking 'every time' when operating it off the regular 'start' position in the ignition switch. So which do you mean ? ..since no one has responded top your post yet anyway. Scott

It always end up running though and it runs great. . The van has been equipped with a gear reduction starter. Could that be the problem? The van has160k kms only and has been maintained with care. > Thanks for any help > Alain > > Sent from my iPad 2 |
