Only front glasses are really breakable through handling and install . Keep on asking around , they were politely telling you they did not want to do that job . If you are putting new seals in , just replace the front glass .it is probably way past it useful life . You would not drive a tire past it's wear bars but most people will drive a windshield until they just can't see through it , kinda like driving around with steel bands showing through their tires . Look on Craigslist , there are some competent guys on there , you just need to grill them to see if they understand rubber set windows or not . Good luck . Stacy
