Gregory This is a RePost of a response to I did on 22Sep to JRodgers ~ Not sure if he tried it The HallSensor is suspect ForSure but possibly the Cheapest&Easiest thing to try 1st would be to replace the 2 Relays in the BlackBox above the coil ~ especially if you don't always get the FuelPumpWithIgn'KeyOn every time you TurnTheIgn'KeyOn ~ sometimes just Unplugging&Replugging them will solve the issue but they are Cheap & if they are the Originals they have already done a MoreThanFairAmount of work so it sure can't hurt to replace them ~ I've seen them be the cause of these sorts of symptoms in 3 diff' Vanagons in the past couple of years ~ It has usually been the 1 that controls the FuelPump but I just replace both & if 1 is still a good 1, I keep it as a spare.
