The storm has faded away today & looks like 4-5 days of dryness. I went and pulled out the sliding door window this morning and was pleased with what I found. A little bit of rust in the screw holes and two of them have rusted enough to cause a slight expansion between the two layers of sheet metal, but everything's still pretty solid. I'm going to take the window & screen to Parkrose Hardware & see if they have any ideas on how the screen can be attached to the aluminum window frame rather than through the window seal and into the body.
