Yep. It's a wet location. This kit is cheap enough to replace if it fails in a few years. The motor is sealed and has a clutch to allow for full up and down to full open or closed with no adjustments needed.

It was surprisingly easy to install, but my '85 did not come with power windows or locks.

Power windows are great until they stop working... that can happen to manual windows too... What bothered me the most in my '87 with power windows was getting the drivers window 'just right'. The best thing in my '87 with power windows was being able to deal with the passenger window. I'd always said if I was going to do that I'd put the power window on just the passenger side.
