Thanks for taking to write all this stuff guys. Very interesting. I may take the plunge and buy the book Dennis refers to.

Can throttle position (if required by Digijet or Digifant) be roughly determined by the AFM wiper position?

I'm not certain that it functions in the same or similar manner, but there is an intake air temp sensor present on my Motronic 2.9 which uses a MAF.
