I consider myself fairly experienced at replacing VW glass, I've done it on a Splitty, many Bays, a Super Beetle, and a few Vanagons. The WORST experience of all of the was last spring trying to replace the seal o n my sliding door window. The first seal shredded during installation. (Cord and soapy water method)  I had bought the seal from Go Westy! and they sent me another one. I managed to get it installed, but not without it ripping in a couple of spots. As time goes on it is starting to tear even more, to to the point that someday the window is probably going to blow out of the door at highway speeds from the pressure. Not looking forward to replacing it again. Jeff Stewart ----- Original Message ----- > In a message dated 11/16/2013 1:36:46 A.M.
