I have a belly pan on my '81 Vanagon.  I suspect it was a feature
of the gas heater option.  I also have a spare for sale in Boulder,
Colorado.  $5, OBO.

It screws up to the bottom of the frame members and has some
access holes, although I can't figure out what they are for.
I don't think I could change the white plastic fuel filter
through one....
