Thanks John. Appreciate the links.

The first video shows the author shorting the middle pin of the hall
connector to ground to test if the "computer controller is good"
(ECU).

@ the list: is this a bad way  (risky)  to test if power is coming
from ECU? This same wire connects to the idle control unit.
