Looked into molding these instrument housings some time go - since I wan into mold making. Turned out they are injection molded and the mold forms were way out there pricewise for injection molding. You would have to make a- and sell - a bunch to recover the cost. I looked into this before the advent of 3-D printing. Since that has come on the scene - perhaps that would be a means of getting some housings made. Maybe could laser scan one, develop a data stream, and feed it to the printer and produce them one off that way. Just an idea. Sold 2 of them just a couple of days ago. There's someone else selling one in the same ad section for $150. But then you used to be able to buy Sycro tintops for under $3K in tiptop condition. Now they are $9K-$18K on CL. Vanagons with blown motors are going for 10 times what they used to sell for 10 years ago. > > Here's hoping someone starts replicating the fragile housings.
