Stainless steel, for example, is not kryptonite ....
"everything' is constantly slowly trying to deteriorate back into the earth ...
or the ocean ..or evaporate into the air ..
like dental care ...you can't reverse dental and gum deterioration ..
you can only slow the process down.
Same for boat and aircraft parts etc.
and vanagon parts.
