If you have the hard plastic pieces that hook to the dash vent outlets on the heater (6b & 6c here: <http://www.vagcat.com/epc/cat/vw/T2/1991/78/56/887035/>, it's a piece of cake. I just did this changeover on my '84. Bolts right in.

It's a 90. or rather was made in 90. Oval heater holes, a round outlet on each side is plugged. How much trouble is this going to be on an 86?
