yes, that may seem like a blanket statement..but.. it appears to be true. in all my years into the vw hobby, it seems that most of the stolen vw's you hear about are always on the west coast...

maybe that's because all the vw's on the east coast have rusted away.. LOL

With over 2,000 subscribers on WetWesties there is going to be a large audience and more people that might spot a stolen Vanagon. Based on what is being reported on The Samba there has apparently been many more that the four or five Vanagon thefts around Seattle than I've seen reported on WetWesties and vanagon.com . Many of us do not read The Samba on a regular basis where these reports may also show up. And to any with the info post as much as you may have. And any info on recovered Vanagons would also be of help, especially location of the recovery, condition, and how the theft might have been accomplished.
