Turn key, much click, no turnover, battery full; storm around on foot
full of angst; throw up with fear; try again; van start)


I drove my van around for years like this and it just got harder and
harder to start.


I am not trying to start a new conversation about these pictures, but
putting this in here for the archives.


The one at the end is a wacky kind from South Africa which I guess
fit Tiico or Diesels or 5-cylindar audi engines, but seem a little
suspect of a fit on a syncro because the starter would hit the gas
tank, I am guessing. There apparently is a version of these with the
starter on the side, however for 4WDs.
