Removing and bypassing the fuel pump relay (connecting socket 30 to 87 as shown in Bentley) might be needed, but wouldn't the hall signal pulse the fuel pump? I've never done this test.

You obviously know this but for anyone else, be sure not to turn turn the engine with dizzy up and away from the drive gear.

For removing injectors for spray test, I'd apply penetrating fluid to each 10mm head bolt on each fuel injector hold down bracket. A medium rap with a hammer couldn't hurt. Beware of Corrosion and Time... ;)

With each bolt off, each pair of injectors comes away the intake manifold. At the very least, replace the O-rings at tip of each injector. The larger O-rings might be ok but if they look old, I'd replace them but this may take you into fuel line replacement time. ;)
