Sometimes, even as slow as I type, my typing speed exceeds my thinking
speed.  The high tension ignition wiring isn't active until *after* the
Hall sensor has sent it's signal to the ignition control module; it's what
starts the whole electromagnetic storm.  No shielding needed.
