Sorry. I wasn't super clear.
Was suggesting that Ethanol blend gasoline MAY adversely effect older
types of fuel injection rated hose. Not knowing details (i.e. your
recent install of new hoses) was suggesting this as a possibility.
I'll use my '88 as an example.
There was very likely still some old OEM fuel hose still in place. The
images below say a lot. Rusty clamps, OEM type of collar that
"permanently" connects the fuel hose to the injector. This could
indicate original hoses (I doubt these were replaced with actual OEM
Vanagon parts). Another clue to possible install of incorrectly rated
hose: crappy worm gear hose clamps.

As for my comment on "no leaks", meant to say that 5/16" (instead of
the metric sized hose) has been leak free. i.e. it seems to fit fine.
Others have used this size of hose.
