My meter needs are simple. The $20 (or so) meter I bought at Walmart for my tool bag does as good a job for me as the expensive Fluke does in my home tools. I had a cheap meter from Harbor Freight that did not cut it because it did NOT have an audible for the ground. A lot of what I use a meter for seems to be checking grounds and being able to hear it helps a lot. For measuring voltage drop, battery voltage, alternator output voltage or the resistance in the temp2 switch they all work well.
