Reposting this from WetWesties Facbook page originally on The Samba:

Mad Maxine wrote: SPUTNIK WAS FOUND! Some time early this morning. Two jerks were arrested during the find. It was located on NE 85th somewhere south of Lake City. Still waiting for full report. Original plates were STILL INTACT (these guys are not too bright).

We had it impounded to get it off the street. No idea of condition. Might not get the chance to look at it until Thursday due to workload, but WOO HOO! Trying to moderate my expectations.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT! More updates pending.

My added note to all in the Seattle area. This was recovered in the same general area that at least two other stolen Vanagons were recovered, generally NE Seattle.
