Hey, I used almost those same lights. No flashing, but with the same timer,
etc. They got wet during a nightlong rain and would not turn off at all the
next day. I took the batteries out and let the battery cases spend about
six hours on a heater, after which they worked just fine. I put a baggie
over each one and taped it up tight. You can operate the switch through the
plastic.

I presume the leds themselves are not the part that is susceptible to water
because I didn't dry those and they worked. I only had to dry the
controllers.
