I believe that once you put a different make of motor in will require more
$ due to adaptations to make it fit/work. Ive got probably over 5k into my
swap, 3k just for the engine alone. Inline diesel to inline diesel while
doing it myself The rest was mostly necessary replacement parts/upgrades
including fuel tank, sending unit, coolant lines, clutch kit+machining of
flywheel, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, valve cover gasket. The
other was custom fabrication of intake and exhaust. There always seemed to
be another hidden cost with something, another make of engine will probably
be more. Try to think of KIS keep, it, simple!
