I use a 250w Wolverine heater to keep 12 litres of oil real warm in my Sprinter. The Pyroil unit is also very effective. Ask anyone in Alberta :). BTW the Wolverine heater is another good choice, just a little tough to attach to the WBX oil pan. Ian On 12-23-2013, at 5:22 PM, Vanagon wrote: > That block heater. I read that it puts out 250w - anyone have an estimate or actually measure how much temperature rise this would create in in the oil? If it preheated the oil to 100F on a 0F morning, then the $100 price tag could be justified, sure. But a 10 degree rise probably wouldn't be worth it. > > Sent from my 1963 maroon and cream 702B Western Electric Princess phone. > >> On Dec 23, 2013, at 10:16 AM, Ian Allan <ian.allan@BMTS.COM> wrote: >> >> In Canada NAPA has an oil pan heater obviously made for the WBX as it bolts on perfectly to existing fastener locations.
