Subject:      Best water pump brand

My water pump is starting to leak and making noise and I am getting 
ready to purchase another one. I got about 80k out of this one and have 
had trouble with some brands only getting about 20k out of others. I 
can't find my record on the brand that I got the most mileage from. All 
that I have purchased came from one of two list vendors that we are all 
familiar with. I have searched the archives butr can't find any 
recommendations on particular brand recommendations. I do remember a 
discussion some time back where I think that I will soak the pump in 
coolant for a few days before installing. Does anyone have any 
recommendations for any particular brand. Looks to be about 3-4 
commonly found out there. Thanks list and Merry Christmas to everyone.
