Folks, Looking for any suggestions on what I think is a idle problem that I've not seen described. My vehicle is driven frequently and runs fine except for a persistent idle problem. After driving either in cold or hot weather, I will come to a stop and initially the idle is normal. But after about 30 seconds, the idle drops and will stall unless I quickly press the accelerator.. This must be held until I actually drive on, and all will then work as expected. The next time I come to a stop, the same sequence occurs - normal idle for about 30 seconds, then will stall unless I press accelerator. One gets use to it, but there clearly is something wrong. Looking for suggestions on what might be causing this problem. This is a 1.9 1983 manual, water cooled. No mods from original have been made. Looking for a 2014 with this fixed!
