Lots of links via google searches. you can do a 5-speed or 6 speed subaru trans even, into a vnaogn.

Some sites I saw even talked about which years and version of transmissions were better/stronger ..like WRX Sti ones, etc.

Those were more dedicated to Subaru sites... as oppossed to subaru-vanagon sites.. but it *all* shows up in a google search.

Havn't seen or driven one myself though. if it's well engineered ....and works like a person would want.. should be pretty sweeeet. Fairly Expensive goes without saying.
