I don't see any pictures and I suspect you have them set so that only you or invited guests can see them.
Also, you should be able to carefully inspect the core and seams for signs of leaks. If you don't see any the previous owner changed out the radiator while chasing cooling issues & if you are lucky the cause was elsewhere.
Thanks, Tom Hargrave

Did you try to call & I did not answer? I apologize but I never answer numbers I don’t recognize because I’m tired of sales people trying to sell me life insurance, health insurance, Obama insurance, merchant services, very expensive money and the latest, greatest “guaranteed to make millions” investment.

Thanks Tom. Ya I figured that if I pressurized the rad with water, I'd see any leaks.
Unearthed the radiator from it's basement dwelling. Can barely see core via inlet but inlet/outlet and what I can see of tank look pretty clean.
Some quick pics of the radiator:

In hindsight, the cut wires may indicate that the PO pulled this from
a scrap Vanagon. I thought he bought it new! ;)
My 1988 Westy runs ok but there is a noticeable difference in temp gauge if heater is on or off (closed). I need to confirm temps with my infrared "gun".
Neil.
