Hi all

Well, This past year has been busy and I told myself I wanted to work on my VWs just a little bit more then last year. I buy the stuff and it sits on the shelf for years for when I get a chance. SO, Today I spent 3 hours fixing and upgrading the ol Vanagon.

Fun to play with a 1 to 1 Scale model kit.

Purchased a few 12 Volt power outlets to replace the dash cig lighter, Swapped that out and installed a second one in the cabinet in the rear in a section below the drawer and above the cabinet door. Took a bit of pre planning and it turned out like factory. Wired it in and she is good to go.

Also installed a new sink Drain since my hose snapped off years ago, Also purchased the hose that is much nicer then the garden hose thing that was in there.

Replaced the A pillar plastic trim so that looks nice and new.

Reinstalled the shelves and door for the fridge area. Took out the fridge years ago for more shelving. Never used the fridge anyway. Also if anyone needs a used fridge let me know so I can regain 4 square feet of garage space again. It did work on 110V But never checked on Propane since I had a bad tank at the time and could not check it. Installed a new tank after a year or so after removing the fridge.

Sorted through all the decals of all 50 states to install on the rear quarter window. This Van has seen allot of states in the years I have had it.Still need to make it up through New England area and the very south east. Been there but not with the Vanagon so It doesn't get the sticker yet. May have to plan it out.

Got a new Radiator for Xmas, Not that mine was leaking or anything, Just nice to swap out and not worry about. Always trying to keep it as cool as possible climbing hills and such. Got new hoses and deflectors as well. Also picked up a nice front Bull Bar since I have seen plenty of deer lately and sure do not want to hurt my van with one good hit. Next is to try and figure a way to carry or pull 4 Kayaks. Not quite sure How I will pull that off yet.

Hope some of you got a chance to work on your VW

C-ya Jonce
