I fill them right to the bottom of the filler hole ..
since they all almost always use some coolant slowly.
the only 'thing' about that is if it's real hot ..like 100 F the coolant
can expand so much it'll overflow out the vent on top of the license
plate bottle...making it look like there is a leak when there really isn't.
I use various additives in my coolant too ..
more than just a-frz and water, and I'm sure that helps too....helps the
cooling system function properly.
