also .. never sit at a light holding the clutch in, unless you expect to be moving soon. like clutch pedal is only held down for short periods ..half a minute max. same for starting ..start it with tans in neutral, clutch pedal up. You would be smart to not keep driving it this way. the transmission comes right out .. leave the engine in place, other than lowered down a little perhaps, and just 'remove the trans.' as clutch jobs go in the automotive world... doing a clutch job on a 2WD vanagon is as easy as clutch jobs get. seriously ..there is some chance of damage to the TOB cross shaft .. or even worse in and extreme case. Remove the vehicle from service until someone can examine the clutch area I suggest. how much metal is there on the transmission's magnetic drain plug ? ..while we're thinkin' clutch/trans. Scott
