Swamp coolers, from what I'm told, only work in dry heat-think Arizona. I've found pics on the Internet of a '70's model Chevy Impala with a gas generator bolted to the trunk and a window a/c unit in the window of the back door, maybe Google 'Redneck air conditioning".
