Subject: Another Key success story with Steve Sandlin
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi Lister's,

Some time ago I made note from a post that Steveslockshop.com and the shop of Steve Sandlin could help with vanagon key issues.

I wanted keys for my glove box as they were missing. Also my gas cap keys were in poor shape and local copies didn't work.

I contacted Steve and I sent him my lock from my glove box, my best gas cap key, and the code from my door lock. the latter was so I could get a "original" key for my van.

The task was complicated by the fact that my code could be read in either direction so Steve sent me two keys to determine the correct one. He also figured out my glove box lock without taking it apart. thus I have my original lock with new keys.

All the keys arrived in great working order and I really like the ones that had the VW carved into them. this was a nice tactile plus for me.

So, I just wanted to add to the positive comments that Steve is a great person to work with for VW keys.

I also hope he sends out a post now and then as he works on getting his 84 Westy back on the road.
