Or, you can swap out your DOT squares with E-code squares. Make a world of
difference. Even better lighting than the round E-code lights.

Thank you Jim for confirming my intention/expectation for a brighter
nighttime driving. I have tried all kinds of half-measures over the years. I
washed the inside of the housings, upgraded the wiring with relays, tried
higher wattage bulbs, replaced countless plastic adjusters, etc. The only
thing that marginally helped was installing extra driving lights on the
chrome bumper. They are not pretty. Now the plastic adjusters are getting
brittle and some are broken again.
As of this morning, I have a line on a '85 or older grill and a separate
line on a set of brackets. (Thanks guys! You know who you are.) I intend to
install the 7 INCH H4 Hella round headlights in them. I'll report back after
my retro-conversion project. Oldies but goodies I say.
