Of course the first question will be what are you towing it with? The U-Haul dolly works well. If renting a U-Haul truck you may be able to get a trailer instead for a reasonable up charge. The U-Haul trailers are awesome except for their weight. They are over 2,000 pounds empty. Indestructible. Their trailers and dollies have surge brakes. If not renting their truck they are particular what the towing vehicle is. If towing interstate you should become aware of each states laws regarding towing. The combination of towing and/or being over 10,000 pounds may require you to stop at weight stations. Another option would be to use a tow bar and tow all wheels down. Vanagons tow very well this way.

Hi All,

I'm moving, and will be taking the vanagon with me (unless anyone wants to buy it before I leave. You can take advantage of the OBO part of the ad. ;-) )

Uhaul says that their tow dolly will work for a vanagon. Has anyone used their dolly before? And if so, did it work well for you?

Cheers, Harry
