In Alaska I had an '85 Jeep Wagoneer LTD with a pop-up sun roof. On cold
winter days on the long trip between the Kenai Peninsula where I lived
and Anchorage - I would often make the drive with the heat blasting and
the sun roof open. Kept me awake - and was more comfortable.
In the Deep south with the high humidity - getting the balance right is
more difficult. but I gotta tell you - it's about the humidity here -
and having a working AC is essential. Not only that - there are times
when weather conditions here fog the windows inside and nothing short of
running the AC even in winter is going to pull the moisture from the air
so the windows will defog - even with the defrosters running full bore.
Gotta have that working AC.
